COURSE OVERVIEW
This Moving and Assisting of People Level 2 TQUK Award in Moving People Safely (RQF) provides learners with the opportunity to develop skills, knowledge and understanding to enable them to apply safe manual handling principles.
This qualification is intended as a further development qualification for those working in areas where the assistance and movement of people is an essential part of their role.
The course is designed to meet the requirements and recommendations of the HSE Manual Handling Regulations 1992, as well as other relevant regulations and guidelines. It also includes a module on slips, trips and falls.
Working within healthcare and social care often involves moving, lifting, or otherwise manually handling people. Participants will develop the specialist knowledge and skills related to moving people safely. The Moving and Assisting of People Level 2 includes:
- The personal safety, health and dignity issues relating to the movement of people
- The importance of risk assessment and handling plans to reduce the risk of injury
- The principles of use of different types of equipment
- The safe application of moving people skills
This course can be taken as an online, blended or classroom course by one of our approved instructors. The online course also acts as a good refresher course for those who just need their skills to be refreshed.
