Our 3-Day First Aid at Work course is the Level 3 (VTQ) – First Aid at Work (FAW) course including AED (defibrillator).
This course is our in depth first aid at work course and is a really popular. It provides a comprehensive insight into first aid procedures required for larger, higher risk workplaces. The course syllabus is laid down by the Health & Safety executive in the Health & Safety (First-Aid) Regulations 1981 Approved Code of Practice.
The course uses combination of knowledge development, skill development and realistic scenario practice to make sure participants have the confidence in their ability to provide care when emergency situations arise.

WHO IS THIS COURSE FOR?
Our 3-Day First Aid at Work course is ideally suited for employees who are given the role of First Aider at work, it gives you a comprehensive knowledge of first aid and the confidence to use it. This course is also perfect for employees from medium to high risk workplaces, with large workforces or with team members who may have pre-existing medical concerns.
This course is often the minimum requirement for site workers, supervisors, managers and people in the care industry.
TOPICS COVERED
COURSE OBJECTIVES
By the end of the course, participants will be able to:
- Understand the role of the first-aider including reference to: the importance of preventing cross infection, and the use of available equipment
- Assess the situation and circumstances in order to act safely, promptly and effectively in an emergency
- Act safely, promptly and effectively during emergencies at work
- Use first aid equipment
- Understand employer duties and legislation
- Maintain first aid records
- Recognise the importance of personal hygiene in first aid procedures
- Provide first aid using a defibrillator
ASSESSMENT & ACCREDITATION
This course includes a practical assessment and multiple choice examination.
Successful participants will be awarded the First Aid at Work certificate, which is valid for three years, certified by ProTrainings Green Box First Aid Training along with CPD evidence.
To renew this certification, you will need to take the First Aid at Work Re-qualification course, please give us a call for details.

Green Box First Aid Training has classroom locations for our First Aid Courses in Windsor, Slough, Bracknell, Staines upon Thames, Newbury and Farnborough. These locations are where we hold our public first aid training courses. But these can also be used for private group bookings. Our public courses normally run once a month at each venue, please check our live booking system for details.
Green Box can also train you at your place of work. We specialise in in-house first aid courses. So training can be at your workplace or venue. Or we can find training facilities in a location of your choice. We have instructors across the UK and travel the length of the country so please do get in touch.
