The Level 3 Award in Supervising Food Safety in Catering (RQF) is designed for those who work, or intend to work, in a supervisory role in the catering and hospitality industry. This qualification may also be suitable for individuals who own or manage a small catering business.
Our comprehensive training course covers the skills, knowledge and understanding of food safety compliance in a supervisory role, including monitoring good hygiene practices, implementing food safety management procedures and training staff to understand the procedures. Other subjects covered include microbiology, hazards and controls, food poisoning, personal hygiene, premises and equipment, cleaning and disinfection, pest management, food safety management, supervisory management, legislation and enforcement.
This Ofqual approved qualification has been developed specifically for insertion onto the Qualifications and Credit Framework with full support from People 1st, the Sector Skills Council for Hospitality, Leisure, Travel and Tourism. It is also fully compliant with industry and regulatory standards and recognised by environmental health practitioners, auditors and other enforcement officers.
This course is a classroom course over two days with a day of pre-study before the course. You will be sent a study book prior to the course which must be completed.
