FAQs
Over the years, we have been asked many questions about our first aid courses and about first aid in general. Below is a list of our most frequently asked questions, or FAQs, that we are typically asked before booking a course, prior to attending the course and even during one of our many first aid training courses.
If one of your FAQs isn’t featured here, please contact us.

If you have any special educational needs, we can adapt the course to enable you to demonstrate what you have learnt.

A: First aid is a serious subject, but we teach it in a relaxed and fun manner to make it memorable. We spend the first part of each course going through and addressing people’s fears and worries. It’s natural to be scared of the unknown, and through educating you, we will take that fear away.

From experience, we have found that when we have dealt with large bleeds, we instinctively rely on our training and it’s only afterwards we reflect on what we have seen. If you do really struggle with the sight of blood, you might want to think about seeking help with your fear before becoming a first aider – there is help out there.
A: No. We make our courses as interactive as possible – as we find that people remember the practical exercises more than us talking!
