This course is our entry level Paediatric specific first aid course and is the first unit of the 12 hour Paediatric First Aid course. It gives you the confidence and skill to help in an emergency situation. Normally teachers and people working with children will need to do the full two days but this course is great for people who would just like to know what to do in the event of a medical emergency involving children and infants. Like all of our courses fully follow and meet the UK and European Resuscitation Council Guidelines 2015 as per the requirements set out by the HSE. Green Box First Aid Training Vocational Training Qualifications (VTQ) are recognised by the HSE as Trade Body Qualifications.
We also include AED (defibrillator) training as part of this course.
Both sections teach participants how to respond to real emergencies. The course uses combination of knowledge development, skill development and realistic scenario practice to make sure participants have the confidence in their ability to provide care when emergency situations arise.
Who is this course for?
Primarily parents, guardians, grandparents and family members who have children around. We never know when we will need these potentially life saving skills and they are really easy to master.
